Condos Have Amenities That Encourage Social Gatherings
If you are someone who enjoys being surrounded by people, a condo is an amazing place to live. Most condo communities come equipped with many different amenities, like basketball courts, pools, gyms, racquetball courts and large lounge areas. These lounge areas can be indoors and come equipped with pool tables, televisions, small kitchen areas, dining tables and more. The outdoor lounge areas can include a large pool, tables and chairs, and grills for cooking. These locations are available for use by condo owners to entertain guests as well as by management to host events for the residents.
Of course, the quantity of these events differ between condo communities. However, these events allow for the mingling of every resident who chooses to attend. If the condo community does not have these events, there are plenty of other opportunities to meet possible new friends. The other amenities like the gym may allow you to find a new workout partner. Or maybe you can join a team by talking to the other residents shooting baskets on the basketball court.
The possibilities are truly endless in terms of the social aspect of living in a condo community. In general, you are always surrounded by people, even while living in your condo. Unless you have a corner, top floor unit, you have people on all sides that may be open for socializing. You may meet truly engaging friends and develop relationships with people who have something in common with you on many fronts. And these relationships can all start with condo ownership!
Condos Do Not Require Outside Maintenance
Are you someone who does not enjoy yard work? Would you rather sit inside and watch the game then have to trim hedges and blow leaves? If this description matches you, then condo living is perfect for you. In condo communities, the homeowner’s association fee covers any maintenance to the property, whether it be lawn maintenance or tree cutting.
Condos sort of resemble living in apartments in this sense. When you have a landlord, they are typically responsible for outside maintenance. The only difference is, you as a condo owner are responsible for appliances and everything on the inside of your unit. This is because you own everything on the inside of your unit, but share everything outside of it.
The common areas, hallways leading to and from condo units, and other lobby areas are all taken care of by maintenance. Another bonus for condo living is the fact that you will never have to shovel another driveway. If you live in an area notorious for tough winters, the condo’s association will take care of those. And in the case of a power outage, there’s a very solid chance that your condo will have backup generators. Just keep in mind that the backup generators aren’t a guarantee, so be sure to check with the homeowner’s association.
We hope that these reasons have helped you in deciding whether or not you wish to live in a condo! It’s a fantastic place to live for many reasons, not just the ones listed here!
