Dillon Mathewson

My name is Dillon Mathewson. I was born on the West Side of Buffalo, New York, on June 9, 1992. Although I was born in the North, I was raised in the South—growing up in the “Queen City” of Charlotte, North Carolina. I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I earned a degree in Environmental Science.

My passion for all things aquatics began at age 16 when I discovered scuba diving. For my high school senior project, I was required to become scuba certified. That experience sparked a deep passion, and by the age of 18, I had become one of the youngest SSI-certified scuba instructors in the world.

For the next 10 years, I served as a dive shop manager, leading and organizing local, regional, and international scuba diving trips. That role helped me develop strong leadership and communication skills, which have become cornerstones of my success in the mortgage industry.

Today, I am Fort Lauderdale Based and conduct business in several states across the Southeast and Mid-West. I specialize in working with first-time homebuyers and take pride in guiding clients through the homebuying process. Helping people transition from renters to homeowners is incredibly rewarding. My ability to build genuine connections has allowed me to grow my business from a Consumer Direct model into a Retail, referral-based model.

Having personally studied under the mentorship of different Industry Leaders, I’ve sharpened my skills in loan structuring and strengthened my communication and public speaking abilities.
